About Hibernian Cabinetry & Woodcraft

We Bring Your Designs to Life

Hibernian Cabinetry & Woodcraft is a custom woodworking shop specializing in bespoke cabinetry and furniture for homes in East Tennessee. Our work is rooted in traditional craftsmanship, careful material selection, and a collaborative design process tailored to each client and space.

We work closely with homeowners, interior designers, and general contractors to bring thoughtful, well-built pieces into kitchens and living spaces. Whether designing a full set of custom cabinets or restoring a single heirloom piece, our focus is on quality, longevity, and honest workmanship.

From Ireland to Tennessee: A Legacy of Craftsmanship

Hibernian Cabinetry & Woodcraft is led by the design and craftsmanship of Karl Quigley. Raised in Dublin, Ireland, Karl developed his woodworking skills through hands-on training with established craftsmen, building a foundation in traditional joinery, proportion, and material discipline.

Karl’s work includes cabinetry and furniture installed in residential and institutional projects, including government buildings and Irish embassies. As the foreman at Karl Cullen Fitted Furniture, he oversaw the manufacture and installation of bespoke cabinetry for private homes, several of which were featured on Irish television programs Room to Improve and DIY SOS.

Now based in East Tennessee, Karl brings that experience to residential projects through Hibernian Cabinetry & Woodcraft, combining European craftsmanship with modern American building practices. His focus is on creating custom cabinetry and woodwork that integrates cleanly into the home, serves its purpose well, and stands the test of time.
